The Health Literacy Institute established in 1992. This years trainers are Sue Stableford, MPH, MSB,; Audrey Riffenburgh, MA; Wendy Mettger, MA; nationally recognized health literacy experts. The 2005 Summer Institute will be held this year in Portland, Maine. The Institute offers workshops that help health professionals learn plain language skills to communicate their messages quickly and clearly to diverse consumer audiences.
